Excellent! I'm impressed by the homemade Chutney! Which Curry powder do you prefer? I've found considerable variation. In countries of origin, I'm told it varies by Family!

Nice. It looks good enough to eat but the portion is too small

Thanks QD, I usually make my own curry powder but for this recipe used the spices called for: cumin, turmeric, paprika, chili powder, and ground ginger (also added some fresh grated ginger and a bit of onion and garlic powder). Turned out quite well. Recipe is on line under Allspices Spicy Indian Curry, enjoy

Making your own - impressive again. After some years of kicking around I settled on Madras Curry Powder. Before they went all political and started insulting customers, Penzey's Maharajah Curry powder was pretty good, had a touch of saffron. I won't use their products anymore, found Savory Spice Shop in Santa Fe instead.

Have tried McCormick’s curry powder but I like my mixes better. Will have to look for the ones you mention

Shame you aren't somewhere near, I have a graveyard of curry powders I tried (and didn't care for!) when I couldn't get Madras. Finally had my son get me several cans, it is still stocked in grocery stores where he lives.
