An old log cabin built in the 1830's. I shot this yesterday is light rain. Originally, I liked the moody looking clouds but decided to do a sky replacement in post editing. As a long time user of Photoshop, I know how to replace a sky manually using Photoshop tools but I have to say, that Photoshop's new sky replacement tool is very nice. You can even load in your own sky shots to use. Anyway, here is the before and the after images.
1. Original image
2. Edited with sky replacement
Nice shot, I like the first one
I also like the first better - nice capture!!
I'm going to go with the minority so far and say I like the second one better. Nice capture.
The original is a really nice image. But I’m ambivalent about this sky swap. I think the sky in the original has decent detail and sets the mood for the lonely, dilapidated old building. You could select the sky in that one and using levels emphasize the contrast to bring up the drama a bit. Adding a red sunset sky would seem to need a lighting color change on the foreground, since it still looks a bit too cool for such a warm skylight. Just my thinking . . .

Thank you for your critque and thoughts. The original was shot with an IPhone 13 Pro Max using the Pro RAW feature mode. You are right, there is alot of detail in the clouds that could be enhanced. As far as the sky swap, I think your suggestion is a good one. Bringing up the warmth a bit would help to sell the edit and make it more believable.
Excellent work. It is a good photo to start with and I really like your uplifting version. The colors are rich but natural. Well done!
