I had the same story, treated in 2018, last PSA earlier this year was .001
You are so right about the PSA test, my doctor had been saying that they were not routinely recommending it unless the digital exam was abnormal or family history indicated because of many false positives. So I passed on it that year but the next year physical I decided to go ahead with it anyway and that’s when I was diagnosed. Guys, do it anyway, a false positive is actually a blessing

Congratulations on your successful treatment! And to echo your words, men get your PSA levels checked.
It is done by having some of your blood drawn and checked. Easy, peasy!

Thank you much for your uplifting words, I appreciate it. It felt good to ring that bell, after 5 1/2 weeks of treatments!

After going thru 5 1/2 weeks of radiation treatments for stage 2 prostate cancer. I got to ring a big brass in a hallway near the radiation area, after my last treatment. They asked me if I wanted to, and I said, hell yeah!
The good news is that my PSA level was checked the week before, and it was down to .002.
It will be checked again on 12/22. Hopefully, it will be down to 0 by then. That will be the best Christmas present I could get.
All men should have their PSA levels checked between the ages of 50-59.
The earlier prostate cancer can be detected, the better the survival chances are.

Thank you very much for the well wishes.
From what I read, these are the ages men should first start to have their PSA levels checked.
The earlier prostate cancer can be detected, the better the chances are of beating it.
