So Many Moose

While deer hunting I noticed moose all around me on several different days. It was a pleasure to see these incredible animals.

Nice shots. Moose are hard to find in nature. They know they are funny looking, so they try to stay out of sight. 
I've never seen one in NY, but I did see them in NH and WY. They're a lot bigger than deer.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting. Photos 1 and 2 were easy to come by. I got out of my truck to shoot a badger. When I returned to the truck I noticed this cow moose laying between some brush not 20 yards from me. She did not seem overly concerned as I got out my camera and took those photos. But when I approached her for a couple of close up portraits she decided my presence was already too much and walked off. She knew I did not have a tag for moose. Number 4 is the calf of the cow/calf team seen in number 5. All of these moose were very close but did not stay around for too long.

Thank you Jerry for taking a look and for your comments. As for moose being hard to find in nature, I guess it depends on where you live. In parts of Idaho they are very common. I saw a number of moose almost every day in the area of Leadore up to Salmon, ID. There are also many moose East of Idaho Falls.

Thank you quixdraw for taking a look and commenting. I can't disagree with you a bit on their looks. Their ugly, even fugly, faces are not going to win any beauty contests. Their overly long legs look out of place until you consider they spend much time in water eating plants. God seemed to make them with great consideration to the lifestyle of a moose.
