As in my earlier post the weather was overcast and drear, 59 flit breeze from the South.
After the Eagle debacle (from the rest of the bird-residents view) things started retiring to normal. The American Wigeons flew off with the rest of the ducks when the juvenile Bald Eagle flew over.
The Mallards returned to their usual early migration activities of forming into larger groups and feeding.
The Adult Bald Eagle looks on disapprovingly as the youngster tries to find something left of the hapless gull.
This Red-tailed Hawk was perched on this stump beside the road o the way to Belfair State Park.
D500, 500pF, 1/640 to 1/1250, f 7.1, 8, ISO from 640 to 500! EC +1.0 except for the hawk, +2.00. Handheld except for hawk-in the truck. Some cropping and pp did occur.
Download and enjoy!
Nicely done, Tim. Still waiting for the ducks to make it down here.

Thanx! That bird was perched about 20 feet from the road, about 36 feet up. Scared the brown stuff out of my poor wife when I suddenly stopped for the shot.
