WASHINGTON ISLAND, WI......IMPRESSIVE!

The 1st part of October we decided to take a road trip from Indiana so headed north into Michigan and caught the ferry to Wisconsin. Of course many photos were taken during our 9 days of travel covering 1682 miles. My plan is to share a few posts and not necessarily in the order of our trip. So will start with our visit to Washington Island.
Washington Island is located in Northern Door County, Wisconsin at the tip of Door County peninsula where you'll find the Washington Island Ferry. The island is a 22 square mile , year round home to over 700 people. Please enjoy this visit to one of the highlights of this road trip. Bob

4.....Well.....Let's see what we can discover just by driving around besides getting lost! The island roads were about as clear as what you see on the sign!

5.....We were without a map & our GPS didn't show much due to their rustic roads! Along the way.......some kind folks gave us a brochure that helped a wee bit!

7......Now to climb back up! This was really rough on my feet coming down. I was hoping that my canvas Sperry's would hold up! (they did)
