For those who were around and remember that decade. I was creating the background and once finished it reminded me of what you would see as artwork back then. So I added the guitar player and the peace sign. Both from the internet. Added a bit of grunge, texture.

I can remember the 60s so I suppose that means I wasn't there . I get the impression that it probably doesn't need the grunge, or perhaps it needs something subtler like a touch of negative Clarity or slightly overdone denoise.

Of course it needs the grunge, that was part of the times. I think you nailed this one Frank. I can see it as a poster stapled to telephone poles in the Haight advertising a Joan Baez concert at Winterland.

RG I played with the girl. First time around she was sharp. No layers above her. I felt it was ok, until I added the grunge. I also knocked her down to 60% to have her blend a bit into the background.

Thanks Jack. I was never to Haight, but I saw enough Hippies in person to get that feel. And that is what I was going for.

My memory of psychedelia is that it could be technically very precise but was conceptually all over the place. Perhaps it took a slightly different path un the US.

I think like anything in life there is no one way. So I think people's memories of a time period will vary from one to another.

I should have looked at your location, of course they would be different. The Haight was anything but precise and the art ran the gamut as did the people who hung out there. And the "Summer of Love" was about anything but love.

Now that is a freedom worth protesting for, the 60-80s were wonderful.
