When looking at a flower photo, the viewer tends to first be attracted to the color and then to the areas in the photo that are in focus. Black and White photography focuses on the details and composition of the object. This is a good example.

Yeah, but the light and texture on this one are beautifully awesome and eye-catching

It is very interesting in that the color version is very beautiful in my opinion. Then something in the back of my mind told me to try this even though as I stated initially I am not a big fan of B&W. I was surprised as to how it turned out. I just had to post it. Thanks, Joe!

Sometimes B&W can be good for flowers. In this case I think it emphasizes the tonal differences in the "white" areas and also the texture of the petals and the inner area. It's a nice image.
