Advice I can offer for photography is to get out there and take tons of photos. It's the best way to see what works and what doesn't. The more you experience you get, the better your photos will be. But mostly, have fun! Enjoy what YOU want to take pictures of, and explore that.
As long as it stays fun you will keep at it and get better.
