Good Nature Photography spots on I-80 in WY/NE

I might drive from Canton MI to Sait Lake City starting on Sunday 11/28 and reaching on 11/30.

On I-80, we will pass thru Davenport & Iowa City, Des Monies, Omaha, Lincoln, Cheyenne.

I want to visit those Nature sites that are rarely visited, get some good photos and put in NANPA Blog.

In WY, I noticed that I can stop at:
1. Tree In The Rock, Historical Site Buford, WY 82052
2. Vedauwoo Climbing Area Buford, WY 82052
3. Point of Rocks, WY

No idea where we will take night halt etc…

Still in planning stage…

Any good places en-route that you are aware of for Nature Photography (close to I-80 - i noticed the exits are not that close like in East coast).

Thanks a lot in advance...

Not exactly a "roadside" attraction but out of Laramie to the southwest just beyond the town of Centennial you will find The Snowy Range, a national Scenic Byway, 21 miles of nature beauty that is a microcosm of the Rockies, old growth forest, moose, elk, you name it, lakes, fishing, etc., as well as campgrounds. A beautiful place to drive through or spend a couple of weeks if the snow hasn't begun to accumulate already. "They" can tell you in Laramie.

We recently exited I-84 in Utah west of SLC to drive across southern WY on I-80; as far as we drove--about 3.5 hrs worth, it was flat and nothing but sagebrush and gas wells. Coming back from RMNP we opted for CO 40 across northern CO and it was a much more interesting drive. Doubt we'll ever take that I-80 stretch again--it was mind numbing.

Thanks for all those who read this message and responded.

Well, it was an exciting drive from MI to SLC via WY. Of all the stops that took, my fav one is "vedauwoo rocks" on I80 Exit 329. Also, I tried to visit sand dunes (yes you heard it right) and a volcanic erupted mountain but I was told that I need a 4x4 truck or SUV.

The best place is the wildhorses place and I had all of those photos posted in my Instagram.

Also, I visited some mom-and-pop cancyons within 25 miles radius of SLC and they were amazing too.
