Very nice!!! Just my opinion...I would crop to just under the lower branch on the top left hand side. To me those branches are distracting but the one coming in front the right gives a simple arch. Otherwise, I really like it.

"Secret Garden" is a good name for the spot where the picture was taken. Obviously, you are familiar with that location. Thanks for responding.

Admittedly, I had not thought about the branches you find distracting. Cropping them seems like a good idea. Thank you for the constructive criticism.

Nice one. I was surprised that so much work went into designing and building that park. I had thought it was just an area of nature set aside as a park.

I’ve loved the Park since I was a kid and when I worked in the area I spent many lunch hours strolling thru the Park. Did you have to wait long to get the shot “people free”?

Thanks for looking and commenting. Amazing how much resources and effort go into the park, which is huge. The Conservatory Garden is a good distance away from the most crowded areas, but is definitely worth going to. It is easily reached by bus and (with some walking) by subway.

I was basically hanging around, looking for good shots. Not hard to find a time when a particular shot was people free. It was a late weekday morning. On weekends there will always be a lot of people.

Lovely photo. I wouldn't crop anything. I'd want the landscaping color toned back a bit so that the viewer could better see the statue.

It's not the best place to go walking alone at night. When I was a little kid, my mother was more than nervous about having to walk through a section of the park with me at night. I don't mean she was afraid of me, of course.

Thanks for the suggestions. Now it is a one-to-one tie on cropping out the tree branches. And toning down the landscape color is also something I will experiment with. I expect to spend some time this weekend on the photo.

Central Park is definitely not a place one should walk in after dark. The Conservatory Garden, which can be entered directly from Fifth Avenue, is (I am pretty sure) closed at night. In any event, I would not want to be there after dark.
