Anyone own a Manfrotto 498rc2 Midi Ball Head?

I just bought one and I need a bead on the adapter or bushing that will allow it to work on a 1/4" peg. No luck finding anything but a $35 adapter that looks to be incorrect. I've never seen this thread size before, whatever it is. If you know and have a source for one (likely a multi pack) I'd sure appreciate the help.

Something like what is in this kit (Pic Attached)
If so internet search for camera adaptor screw kit.

Look closely to see if your 1/4 peg is actually reversible to the 3/8 standard connection between legs and heads.

You can get a 3/8-to-1/4 adapter bushing from Amazon. I keep several in my odds/n/ends box.

Much thanks for responses. This is smaller than 3/8ths. I've got a 3/8ths reducing bushing.

It might help if you'd post a picture.

The 498rc2 has a 3/8" female threaded bottom to attach to a tripod's 3/8" stud. If the stud on the tripod is 1/4", then the 3/8"-to-1/4" adapter bushing should be the only thing you need.

Here's a photo of the head on Manfrotto's site: https://www.manfrotto.com/us-en/midi-ball-head-498/

I see now that the adapter I have is 5/16 - 1/4. Ordered some 3/8-1/4. Feeling kinda dumb but thank you all.

I agree some do flip over to go between 1/4 and 3/8

I bought one. I had to shim with 50mm neoprene washers but it's rock solid. Thank you.
