What’s a good unit that loads a few slides at a time and lets you make jpegs as you go?
Thanks

That would be a slide scanner. There are several stand alone units like the Kodak Slide 'n Scan. These units are usually 14mp optical resolution and usually have a 22mp interpolated resolution.

Keep in mind these are not really true scanners, but are basically a self contained digital camera which is why they can "scan" in usually a second or less which is significantly faster than true scanners...which are usually higher resolution.

Kodak makes one for about $150 which I have used to scan in hundreds of slides...Careful, have it scan once without a lside to be sure it is clean inside (may hafta blow it out(dust))

I found it. 'tis a Kodak SCANZA. Caution (again) I scanned about 30+slides without viewing the jpgs, and found a hair across all of 'em., so check that it is clean inside by scanning nothing and checkings its jpg. Aside from that, it did work quite well.

Don’t buy anything that is Wolverine brand! They have horrible quality. There is no adjustment for contrast and all their pictures have the whites too white and the blacks too black.

And also reds too red. Its really bad on well saturated Kodachromes; and Agfa slides, somewhat better on Ektachrome. So; I am also looking to get something more reliable.
