Fired for political reasons, Andrew McCabe gets the last laugh against trump's firing!

Oh yeah, he also gets his retirement cufflinks as well as the firing expunged from his employment record!

Unfortunately, his settlement will be paid by the US taxpayer, instead of by Trump.

He should have been fired. He admitted to lying on a FISA warrant.

Fired meer hours before his retirement?

trump was being vindictive!

trump demanded loyalty, using threats and intimidation against anyone who wouldn't pledge their loyalty to trump rather than to the United States Constitution and to the rule of law.

The case trump wanted brought against Andrew McCabe was weak at best and was likely to fail if brought to trial.

That wasn't McCabe. That was Kevin Clinesmith (and it was more of a mistake than a lie)

He should not have lost his retirement even though he screwed up.

Compare that "screwup" to Lt. Col. Scheller's "screwup" that cost him his pension. There is a moral distinction.

No, McCabe lied on the FISA Warrant because he signed that he knew the information in the warrant was true. It wasn't and he should have known that. Even if he didn't know it was false, he lied when he signed it because he did not have evidence that it was true.

Lying on FISA warrants is a serious issue. Congress recently did an audit of 27 FISA warrants and upper levels in the FBI either incorrectly filled out, omitted evidence, or lied on all 27 of them. It is an abuse of power and should not be allowed to continue.

The fact that charges were ruled out does not mean he didn't lie. He did. Horowitz report confirms that he lied.

What's unfortunate about a guy getting his pension after a lifetime of service to his country?

Learn basic English syntax. "Unfortunately" modifies "by", not "paid", as indicated by the "instead of" clause.
