Today was my third day looking for them and finally, success. They are normally found in India and Africa and thought to have recently been brought here as pets and then released. There are several colonies established in California and Texas that were likely established under similar circumstances. They are members of the finch family and generally slightly smaller than most finches.

Invasive vines, viruses, flora, fauna ... our ancestors!
Thanks, Jack.

I can't let that go by. Native American ancestors too. What happened to the Anastasi and the Old Ones?

Yep, that's my point - everything was invasive at some time. I didn't mean to start a controversy and I do understand that many invasive species are harmful to the locality where introduced.
