From the blue hour the first morning to dusk the sixth evening...ever changing conditions and lighting. And on the seventh day I had to return home. BUMMER!!! But I got out just in time as the local weather went downhill the day after I left.

What editing was done to the posted images was done with Nikon's NX Studio software.

This is the first shot of the trip taken from an observation shelter headed down the stairs to the beach, pretty obvious why it is called the blue hour. The subtleties just in color were amazing and watching those colors transition until a few hours later there was nearly full sun...a time lapse would have been so cool! There is driftwood piled up at the base of the bluffs; walking by the driftwood, all white and bleached, some pieces looked like a dinosaur bones.

Yes, moon rise over Mt St Helens, from a view outside the MSHNVM area.

What I really got into, the challenge of pics and video when there was fog or the blue hour early morning on the beach especially before the clouds moved off. Of course the golden hour with the sun very low on the western horizon as well. Between the blue hour and golden hour, not bad either.
