Beautifully done. Wouldn't of guessed a towel in a gazillion years. It is amazing what a macro lens is capable of in good hands.
Thank You My wife is a retired Surgical RN & OR Charge Nurse - once opened the packs of towels must be used or disposed of so the hospital used them for cleaning and when the custodians didn't want anymore the staff just take them for what ever - we have a lot of them in white and blue - otherwise they go into the medical waste to be burned. I have also used the microfiber cloths for cleaning glasses as a background. In fact during that session I used both and now I am wondering if I got them mixed up and that is a micro fiber cloth. I didn't make notes of which got used for which images.
Wonderful image Robert.
Don
I like it.
I reckon your name in the corner is a bit big
and a distracting element though.

Something like this?
Here is a newer higher key version I have tried.
Much better with your name... Both versions are good imho, I prefer the low key version though...
that photo grabbed my attention as soon as I laid eyes on it... very cool processing Robert.
It's "different" too, which makes it special.
There are heaps of excellent hummingbird photos...
but once you've seen 50 excellent hummingbird/blue jay/pileated woodpecker etc etc,
you want to gouge your eyes out with a barbecue fork when another is thrust into your vision...
But dear reader that does not mean that a pileated woodpecker cant be photographed in an original
way... One fine day (perhaps night would help originality) that might happen
I'm tellin' ya folks! originality goes a very long way imho.
I love the shot., so well done …, yep smaller size on the name in the corner …
