Our photography class took us to Heisler Park, in Laguna Beach. We were there for about 5 hours during the day, sunset, blue sky time and dark. We had four different assignments to fulfill during those hours.
They all look best in download mode.

Fine night photos, and all of your photos so far have been memorable! You just have the knack - Laguna Beach, a college girl friend, fairly brief association, I admit, she found another Californian. A remarkable young woman brought to mind again after all these decades.

#3 is my favorite....love the night sky and the silky water! Did you use a filter to get that effect or did you do that in post?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, I see that I have brought back fond memories of yesterday for you!
Why is there always a "young woman" involved?!?!?!? lol
Thanks for the kind words about the photos.

Get ready to have some fun with late afternoon and dusk photography!!Due the following Week (Week 9):

1. One of your Best Long Exposures at Laguna Beach (low ISO): Try 30 seconds or longer to achieve dramatic results. Fullname_LongLaguna

2. Low Light Photography: Best image from golden hour or blue time. Label: FullName_Lowlight

3. Best of Field Trip Label: FullName_Best Laguna

4. Light Painting: Challenge Yourself: Painting with Light (after it gets dark) Label: FullName_LightPainting.

Challenge yourself and make long exposures in changing light! If any of your "painting with light" studies were successful and worth sharing, please include them.

Thanks Mike. Fortunately, we are not graded! This takes a lot of pressure off of us. We are an emeritus class.

The silky water is because the shutter was opened for 30 seconds. It's the same concept as waterfalls in low light and how silky they can look. I did add the stars to the sky in Post.
Cindy, I'm glad you like #3.

Hahahahahahaaaaa.......thanks for your confidence in me! The class is emeritus class and there is no grades. I take the class to force myself to go out each week and photograph something!
