I really wanted to be up there by Sunrise but I missed it by an hour or so, not to worry I live up here and we have about 2 more weeks of color and I will definitely get back up there again.

Thanks for sharing. The color is beautiful. We leave in a few days and head that way and hope to get a week of great weather and some nice pictures. Also looking for a place to retire. Liking what I see so far. Thank You.

Nice place to retire, hard place to find a home for sale, seems that there are two to three realtors for every home for sale, inventory sold out last year and never recovered..... Thanks for looking.

No, I was a bit east of there, Clingman's Dome is near the Carolina TN border, I was shooting in a stretch of the Parkway that was between 25 and 50 miles east of there at several different overlooks.

Yes, and the great news is that in the dead of summer 85 degrees is as bad as it gets in these mountains, big reason for my coming here and of course winter is mild as compared to the more northern latitudes in this country. 100's of waterfalls, rivers, and cascading streams in the area.... Landscape photographer's paradise.
