There isn’t a dull spot anywhere in this series. I love all that color. It is exhilarating. Beautiful shots!
After we got down to Dallas Divide, there were some opportunities for dawn/dusk shots with some pinks and corals, so there was a little relief from all the yellows, lol. But you chose the exact right word for this trip--exhilarating! Every time we'd round a curve there'd be a backlit grove of yellow that would knock your socks off. And that's something I couldn't begin to capture in a photo and do it justice.
Very nice set of images!!!! Especially for mid afternoon shot!!
Thanks, Frank! Most of these shots were composed heading north, though a lot of nice perspectives were to our west, so the mid-afternoon did squash some photo ops.
These are beautiful. I really like the old house. Does someone still live there? It appears to be in good condition. And the second one with the hay wagon is really nice.
These images with their tapestry of colors were taken mid afternoon from County Road #738, Crested Butte. At this point we headed up to Mt. Crested Butte for the evening, our senses on color-overload for the day.
