I posted a session with this insect gifted to me by my son several months ago and I brought it out for inspection and to stage for a focus stacking session. It has large wings, much like that of a green lacewing, and any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

I am impressed, once again, by your photo, but amazed that you cannot identify it, Gary. I thought you knew everything about insects (LOL).

Thanks, UTMike. Entomologists estimate that there are 10-quintillion (that's a 10 followed by 13 zeros) insects living on earth at any given time which means that there are a few that I have yet to become familiar with and this is one of them.

UTMike, Mark identified it for me as a "Stone Fly".
