Well done shots! We were just at Chaco Canyon and camped one night there. Another amazing place with great night skies.

Thanks. I would have liked to camp at the park with water and electric hookups, but alas, by the time I called a few weeks out, they were already booked up so I had to boon dock. Another small irritation was there is ZERO cell phone service (at least no ATT) or internet there. To call my wife back home I had to drive 20 miles up the road towards Hanksville to get a signal LOL!

I've never been there, but plan to one of these days. That's another location that is off the beaten path!

Thanks - the Milky Way shot was my primary reason for the trip.

This past week I went on a camping trip to Goblin Valley State Park. Here are some pictures I shot from that trip.

Wow, what beautiful images.

I envy your photography skills! I am also reminiscing about our travel/camping.

We share Air Force and defense contractor backgrounds.

I share your cell phone experience. We have been there many times and even with Verizon we could not get service. Lots of good hiking in that area!!

Thanks - I see you're in Utah. Ever been to Goblin?

Yes, it is a favorite when we get down toward Bryce and Capitol Reef. Did you also visit Kodachrome Basin?

No, didn't visit Kodachrome Basin. I mainly spent my time in and around Goblin and between there and the booming metropolis of Hanksville (I almost bought a T-shirt that said "Where the Hell is Hanksville?"). When I was in the AF stationed at Hill we used to go camping at Bryce quite a bit.

More luck than skill I think, but thanks.
