I have been to Mount Rushmore several times and always take a lot of photographs. Friends have told me they have seen it once and they don't need to see it again since the faces never change. But as a photographer I am always on the lookout for something different, maybe clouds, lack of a crowd, different time of day and so on, something to bring out a another perspective to put into a photograph.
With this series I tried to take photos I have not done before. I hope my photos are some you will find interesting and worthy of comment.
EDIT: Some time ago I posted, "Mount Rushmore photos in Black and White". When posting this series I attempted three times to change the title from Mount Rushmore in Black and White to just Mount Rushmore. After I clicked on SEND it seems the computer system did its own thing and kept it the title from some time ago. My apologies.

Excellent set and representation of the place. My last visit the kids were small, one came down with Mumps so we had a marathon drive back home. Memories photos kick up!

It never gets old looking at them.
Nice!
I like the one one where you see Washington's profile, one doesn't see that perspective often.
It was an overcast ☁️ day when I was there, during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally some years ago.

Dennis excellent set. A place I want to go back to see. Still looking for the National Treasure? :)
Very good series, Dennis, but why did you caption it "black and white?"

A very nice series. I have never been there and probably wont so getting these very good pictures is a almost adequate substitute. I DO like the DOF you have gotten. How??
Poul
Still fascinates me that a man had the vision and wherewithal to do something like that.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I am happy you like the photos. As for the DOF I generally leave it set on f4 and hardly ever change it on the Sony RX10IV.

Perhaps you did not read my EDIT in the narrative as I posted it a few minutes after posting the photos. I had titled the series just Mount Rushmore. But some time ago I posted a similar series in black and white back then. When posting the title it automatically populated the old title as you see it. Three times I deleted, Black and White, from the title of this series. I thought it was gone but alas, it populated the old title once again. I could not change it.
I appreciate your comments and like that you like the series.

It does me too NMGal. To complete such a great artistic piece so perfectly on a large stone face seems almost impossible. And yet...there it is to be enjoyed for decades. Thanks for your comment.
