I think it is a daddy long-legged mosquito. They are common in Texas. :) :) :)

Only female mosquitoes bite. If this is a male, he will have no proboscis.

Actually Tom, I was just kidding about the grand daddy long-leg... did think it looked like a mosquito, but just guessing. Don't want to mislead anyone so I guess I need to say "joke...joke" in the future.
