I noticed that also. When he does address the media, it is mostly from a teleprompter or from note cards. I guess his staff doesn’t want him to say things spontaneously.

And, of course, Trump always answered all questions from all questioners, and never insulted any of them. F**e news was just Trumps name for any information that was less than flattering to himself. Trump disciples would seem to be more to be pitied than censured.

The best was his press conference when he held a notebook, clearly shown by the TV camera, each page of which had the name and photograph of the press person he was to call on, along with the question and the answer which he read back.

Many of Trump's statements were more inaccuracies rather than lies.

Trump, admittedly an egomaniac, was trying to appear smarter and more knowledgable than he was. He often thought he was being creative, with the ability to off-the-cuff spouting brilliant ideas.

Like advocating hydroxycholorquine which had initially promising in-vitro results, only to falter in vivo.

Like the concept of inserting disinfectants into the body to cure infection. Not recommending it, not telling anyone to do it, just trying to be the genius brainstorming brilliant ideas.
