I have two cardinal photos and I'd like to send one as a 4x6 card to my sister. I know these are not up to the quality of the photos posted on UHH. I will crop one of these. If you have any other PP suggestions to improve them, I'm all ears. I have Photoshop Elements 6.

I prefer No. 2, it shows the entire body better. Yes, you need to crop tighter, probably really tight for the size of image you are printing at.

The second one. It implies pending action to me.

Neather one . Its the same picture with the bird in a different spot. But if i had to have it on my jail cell wall , i would have to say photo 2. But any one
Can see that even you.

Ps. They dont need any cropping . The surrondings help , to make the pic. And its already nicely framed.

Bram boy, I had already said the quality wasn't up to usual UHH standards. Sorry they offended you. And I actually like the pose of the cardinal in photo 1 better although the majority say that photo 2 is better. I appreciate everyone else's feedback.

I don't think you have anything to apologize for. You noted that you were aware of the quality of the pictures (I've seen a lot worse posted here and in other places). I think the thing that is lacking is constructive critique. I felt the comments were rather harsh while not providing any tips or feedback on how he felt they could have been improved. Perhaps he is having a bad day.

Pay no attention, no picture will please everyone. Those that aren't pleased will generally just keep their comments to themselves and move on.

Both are nice shots well composed but it appears that you could have benefitted with a longer lens. Welcome to UHH. Keep posting , practice makes perfect.
