The Z10 if ever introdued would be a much less camera than the Z9. The better camera than the Z9 would be Z1 or possibly the ultimate just Z.

Love my inexpensive foray into in mirrorless with a Nikon Z50. Wonderful image quality, ability to see the exposure before shooting, and a host of other features which are useful. The benefit to me of the Z9 would be advanced capabilities moving down into less expensive models.

Would never be in my shopping cart. I want my camera to look like a camera, not like a box with a lens glued on.
So you’re sticking with that? It looks pretty much like most cameras with a built in vertical grip.

Not really how the Nikon naming system works. With their Z mount cameras a Z10 would probably have a crop sensor. The next step up would be a Z9 II.
with all the talk about the latest camera, people are still in awe of the work of Ansel accomplished.

I agree. They should hire someone - or ones - to plan their naming systems. Will the D780 become the D800?

I doubt there will ever be an upgrade to the D780. If so it would probably be a D790. They already made a D800.
The age of the DSLR is over. The time of the MILC has come!
