I use a Think Tank Speed Changer v3.0 on a wide tactical belt for most stuff. If I have a bit more to carry, I use the Think Tank Hubba, Hubba, Heiny v3.0 bag. (Yes, that's really the name) Camera and several lenses are well protected. Can be zipped or unzipped. Leaves hands free. Camera can be retrieved fairly quickly and used with a wrist strap. I really dislike those straps that attach to the tripod screw and let the camera flop around and bang into things. Plus puts strain on tripod screw inviting breakage.

Well aren’t you special! This kind of question is a big part of what this forum is about. A lot of people have responded with decent suggestions. What’s your problem?

No problem Superfly, just been carrying a camera since 1958 and never wondered how. Thanks for your input.

I use long lenses and tripods a lot, so the tripod is over my shoulder with the body and lens attached.

With shorter lenses and Nikon DSLRs I hold the camera in my hand, The grips allow everything to stay with you by just curling your fingers into the grip. The camera can sit loosely in your fingers. I've never dropped one carrying this way.

The grips on my Nikon Z50 and Z6 don't feel as secure just resting in my curled fingers. Although they do stay put I have added wrist straps to them.

Depending what I am doing I may carry extra gear in anything from a messenger bag to a backpack. When I bought the backpack it was the largest the airlines would let you carry on. Now it is considered much too big.

There are so many options that it can be different for everybody and every situation. But it is fun figuring it out.

Check out the promediagear version of the spider holster. It has a much lower profile, so no one can see the two of them that I wear every single day. One on each hip.
They are so convenient. I have been using them for a few years, and it is second nature to drop a camera into the holster, without looking. And no, I have never missed or dropped a camera. As mentioned in my earlier post, I often carry a 70-200 FL-e lens, attached to a peak design capture lens, and that has a round headed pin, and that hangs on my left side. I can swap the lens from the body, to the capture lens, and then attach the lens that was on the capture lens, on to the body, all with one hand, and no surface is necessary.
If you look at my post above, with the two photos, you will see me carrying a D850, 24-70 vr, promediagear boomerang bracket with a Godox Ad360ii and the pb960 battery pack, on my right side, and a d810 with 17-35, v860II flash, also on a boomerang bracket, and also attached to battery pack, this one was a quantum turbo sc.
In addition, each camera had a nikon battery grip installed, and they both also had Godox triggers on them.

Hello, I am going north of Fairbanks Alaska this December to hopefully capture the Northern Lights. I am taking my Olympus OMD E1M3 and a couple of lenses. I was also going to take my Canon 5DM4 with the Rokinon astro lens.

I value Think Tank products. They are well-made. Would it be possible to put 2 Changer V3.0s on the belt - one on each side of me?

I have sold to MPB (correct initials? Don't remember) several backpacks. As I am approaching 73 years old (which is why I downside from Canon to Olympus (less weight). I have one now...just think not having to carry the gear on my back would be so much better. Also, can the thinner belt carry both bags with the equipment?

Thank you in advance! Linda

Mendocino cost is FULL of photo apps. I'm going there the first week of May. I go every year for a crab feed at Albion. From fort Bragg South to bowling ball beach is a paradise.

Wow, we'll just miss. I'll be there on the 4th. There's another hogger on here that lives just west of Boonville and has vacation rentals by day week month and it's in the the woods on the Albion River. He goes by Philo.
