I decided to upgrade to a filter system that is well made and good quality, with no color cast. So, after a lot of research into the best filters for me, I decided that Breakthrough photography products are what I wanted.

I ordered their 77mm X4 6 stop ND filter from Amazon.
This order was supposed to arrive Tuesday between 7am & 11am, I received an email reporting it was delayed and would arrive by 3pm. It never arrived!

After a lot of communications over 4 day’s with Amazon customer service about the delayed delivery. I found out it was lost in their warehouse and that a replacement would be expedited to me overnight and a credit of $20.00 put into my Amazon account. Which, I thought that was a nice gesture by them.

Hurray! the filter did arrive as promised. However, when I inspected the package, the box was for an X2 filter with an Amazon warehouse label stating it was an X4.
So Amazon had sent me a $99.00 filter and charged me $180.00.

I became aware that this filter was no longer available and was on back order on their site, this had me worried about my order.

By now I had totally lost faith in the Amazon customer support, so I called Breakthrough Photography for their help.
Their customer service agent Chloe called me and when I explained what had happened, she reported that Amazon are known for miss labeling products.
But not to worry as they would send me the correct filter with a pre-paid return shipping envelope to return the wrong filter to them.

As promised the X4 arrived within a few day’s.

I am so glad I reached out to Breakthrough Photography for their help. I never expected them to replace the filter, their customer service has won me over 100%.
I will be buying directly from Breakthrough Photography in the future.

To end, this is to thank Graham Clark and Chloe for their excellent customer service.
And yes I will be buying more filters from them as soon as they are in stock.

Breakthrough ND filters are truly great. I have also used their arca-swiss type plates.
I've always ordered direct from Breakthrough's website and have always received excellent service.

Hi David, Thanks for your feedback.
Have you used their X4 CPL filter?
That is on my wish list along with their 10 stop.

Be greatful the filter isn't here sitting off LA harbor area - last night's news at least 66 ships already waiting and more coming with 500,000+ containers of cargo waiting to be unloaded.

The x4 cp is just as wonderful as their NDs. Actually the X2s are quite capable too.

Nice, but Amazon would have made things right also.

My most recent was where they put three orders in one box and then sent an update that it was delivered “to lockbox”. Our mail comes to a group of boxes with some larger lockboxes. They put a key in your mailbox when you get one. Or, if too large, you get a pink slip to pick up at post office (20 miles away).

No key or slip. So I bugged Amazon and they replaced two items and refunded the third, which we reordered. No questions asked.

In a couple days our new orders arrived. Then one of our neighbors arrived with the box: they put the key in the wrong mailbox.

I agonized over getting back to Amazon. What would you do?

Love my X4 series ND3 and ND6 for being so color neutral, especially for beach and mid-day model shoots when the color has to pop. The X2 series is not as good in this respect from the reviews I've seen. I only have a Nikon CPL but I will consider this if I need a different diameter.

Yes, this has been an issue for months. So many products are unavailable due to being out on those ships. Not just electronics but building materials too. Roof, fence contractors, etc.

We have similar problems on my block. But here if the box does not fit in the oversized locked boxes they deliver it to our porch or an unknown neighbor's porch. People on our street often have to deliver one another's mail when the postal worker puts it in the wrong box. And that includes our assigned small boxes.
