Will Mr Williams ever learn to follow the rules and post his links in the "Links and Resources" section?

I was just out on the beach and all the guys had either R5s or A1s. I am standing there with a 7DMkll. Maybe!? Felt like an outcast?!

Interesting video... Some valid points made, esp. re: Canon and its possible mirrorless future roadmaps. I personally like my FF and APS-C kit because of the mix and match focal length versatility... But, with prices and size reductions in mirrorless on the way, one might say WHY APS-C in the future. What say you all ?

If you use the “Report Issue” button, moddy can relocate this material to a safer place before it gets to 18 pages.

David McKeegan’s material is basically nuclear waste. Consider the sources.

It took me a while to realize that anything I posted here that had a link ended up getting moved to Links and Resources - never to be heard from again. I try not posting links any more in this forum, but sometimes with I wish I could. I understand that some posts are just intended to provide a resource, but I don't understand the total prohibition of posting a link if the purpose is to just support a conversation about a particular topic and not necessarily provide a link as a resource.

So, as you can see, the policy is reasonably effective.

U tube posts largely strike me as hi-tech Facebook if it’s opinions as opposed to something useful like “how to” something. I thing the policy is working. I divorced Facebook and media opinions. Enjoy forming my own and only share when asked,

Yes, it's effective in keeping any links from being posted in the general discussion forum and I try my best to adhere to it. I just don't see the necessity or purpose of a total prohibition on posting a link if it is meant to support a broader conversation. Not as many people look in "Links and Resources" for general conversations. If you post a conversation about whether Full Frame will kill the APS-C, but you don't post a link to the source, then that is ok, but if you dare post a link the post is banished from here. I just don't think the total purging of any links is necessary That's just my opinion.

I really don't see what all the hoopla about WHERE so and so should be posted etc... The question posed is a valid one irregardless of who did the video or WHAT section it was posted on.It would be a lot more constructive to focus on what points were brought up and comment on substance instead of delivery methods... Just my opinion, but the video brought up good points.

There are no “valid points” in such garbage. Consider the source, and consider the purpose.

Maybe you are right. Tell admin we don't need rules. We'll just post whatever we want, wherever we want.
