When I first left home, a bunch of us guys were renting a house. I got compliments on my cooking, even though I had only cooked breakfasts occasionally. The secret? A cookbook and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! This got me an offer of marriage (which she immediately took back 🤭)!

Love your popular and readily available meat pies. I wish they were available in the US.

I'm with Jerry on the drink choice but with a madras curry.

Many men are so dependent upon their wives for cooking, laundry, cleaning, making the bed, handling the finances, etc. that without them they would be totally lost. I'm happy to say that does not describe me and never has. I've done and still do it all but never tried breastfeeding.🤣

I made a pact with my wife that I cook a full meal once a week; no microwave quickies, but a scratch meal! I learned to like it and look forward to it now, I have a ton of cook books and try not to do the same thing over and over!

Yes, it can be a worrying time when the wife is sick.

I've got a brother-in-law just like him.

Except for eggs all my "cooking" is with a microwave.

You can make some great meals on a grill!

Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Pot Pie, Turkey Pot Pie, Shephard's Pie are all variations on meat pies and available frozen or at many food places just about everywhere. One company even sells Lobster Pot Pie. And all the meat pies in Australia are not the same, there are regional variations.

No problem for me, I cook a few different meals now and then. I would not starve.
