I like to think the war stopped because society mandated that it stop. The protests were growing larger and larger. LBJ bowed to the military industrial complex and that extended the war and for those deaths, he is responsible. As president, he could have forced and end of hostilities especially when he realized he wasn't going to run again.

Many here claim that Biden is a puppet president, that there are special interests behind the scenes controlling his direction. It's nothing new. Large corporations, unions and very generous campaign donors have long had favorable treatment from the politicians - because they are getting rich being "owned". This has been the standard for decades and it is only getting worse. You could say Trump wasn't owned, that he made his own decisions. He did - and always in some way that favored him and his "brand". Other presidents have been owned by special interests. Trump was owned by his own special interests.

Knowledgeable people have book smarts. No argument there. But some "knowledgeable" people think just because they have knowledge they are some how better than others. They talk to you in a condescending manner as if you were a child. They tend to use "big words" and ramble on trying to impress you with what they know. To them, only their opinion matters.
