The Sigma, one of the sharpest tele lenses I have used (frame of reference = Canon 300 2.8) - a recent sample here.
- Sony A99, Sigma 100-300 W/ Sigma 1.4X DG APO, full frame, 6.3 effective aperture, 420mm effective focal length, 1/200 hand held/braced, dull open shade light, ISO 1600 - pixels reduced for posting here. I have also used this lens in Canon EF mount shooting it along side the Canon 2.8. The Sony version is screw drive. No OS/IS on the lens so works better with adapted Sony's with IBIS. AFAIK, does NOT work the MC11 adapter. 8-(

I just did my default PP which includes "auto sharpen" in Elements 9 ........Sony, like Canon, likes to use a rather strong AA filter...
BTW, I have used the Canon version of this lens with the Canon 2X II extender (600mm f8) and was blown away by how good it was - no AF on the 60D tho 8-(

Great shot. It looks sharp. This looks like it is going to be a great lens for you.
