Mac OS 11.6 and Canon Print Studio Pro

I use Lightroom Classic and Canon Print Studio Pro to print on a new MAC with an M1 chip running Big Sur.
I just upgraded the Mac OS to version 11.6 and Canon Print Studio Pro no longer works. I re-installed but it still does not work. I called Canon but they were unaware of the problem. Canon has not released an upgraded version. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?

I am having a problem because when I go to check on my installation of Print Studio Pro the choices are not what Canon expects. There is no "Plug in install" visible. When I get time I am going to check with Apple Support.

Yes, problem here also.

When I select PSP Photoshop locks up and I have to force quit. Similar with DPP.

Did you set Photoshop to run as an Intel app under Rosetta 2? (The check box is in the Get Info dialog… right click on the application in the Applications folder, and you’ll find the option there.)

I’m guessing, but this might be a temporary work-around.

I too use print studio pro on a Canon PRO 4000 it may be it is not the Canon driver . For me it is the latest version of photoshop 22.10.4 I believe that is the latest . My print studio is under File / Automate / Print Studio pro but when I click on it it says no applical program available or something to that effect .I am in rehab at this point for heart surgery . Although the M1 may still need to run in emulation it may be the latest version of CC Photoshop that is your problem .

My mac is not an M1 mac, just an Intel based i7 16Gb RAM. I just upgraded to 11.6 and my Print Studio Pro stopped working in LR. Just shows the progress bar upper left, then nothing happens. I decided to try in Photoshop but it locks PS up and nothing happens (except for me having to force quit PS).

I've gone through removing the preferences for Print Studio Pro and removing the program. Re-installing (Mac version 2.2.5). Same result. The interesting thing is if I go through the 'install plugin' and select Adobe Photoshop 64-bit, I don't get the next button to come up. I have to physically browse to the plugin directory in order to install the plugin. The end result is the same. It doesn't work.

They say that misery loves company and I'm indeed glad that others are experiencing the same thing.

specs:
Adobe PS 22.5.1
Lightroom Classic 10.4
Camera RAW 13.4

This sounds like a Canon issue, although they will probably blame Apple, like Adobe does.

The truth is, many developers don't pay attention to what Apple says at the annual developers' conference, WWDC. Apple puts out road maps to the changes in their OS, along with the information needed for compliance. Then it's up to developers to update their apps, usually to quit doing things Apple told them not to do years ago. The problem is that third party developers take shortcuts. A programmer finds a way to do something simpler, or faster, using a "rabbit hole" in the code. Then Apple closes the rabbit hole (it was never documented, anyway). Suddenly, an OS update breaks the apps that used that rabbit hole.

Agree! Try calling canon and experience dead air or a junior tech that will have no clue how to resolve your issue.
High end printers low end service. Very disappointing.
