Since I have been spending more time in the back yard with my camera, I have seen many more insects than I would normally pay attention to. Some are beautiful, some are ugly, some are beneficial to the environment and others are quite destructive to my plants.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to shoot these, (camera, lens, settings), etc? They really are great shots, and how did you manage to get those critters to sit still!
