I saw Roger Howell driving on a backroad near my home so I did the two most natural things: took a picture and invited him to dinner. He accepted both.
Roger travels in Pennsylvania and Ohio with his dog and life's essentials. He enjoys the gypsy life style and is a treasure trove of adventure stories.
The last photo is the painting on the back of his wagon.

He must be quite a character. The horse on the left sure looks like he is leaning. These are wonderful photos.

Nice photos. The road shoulder must be steeply-sloped, as the horses appear to be leaning.

In your opinion.

IMHO, B&W shown here is excellent for the subject and the story about this man's life on the road.
- Color is overrated.... in many subjects. In my my opinion.

Color is not overrated, color is real life. We don't live in a black and white world. Color would be much nicer.

Again. Your opinion.
I won't hijack this wonderful, artistic, B&W photo thread to get into conversation about artistic value.

It was an overcast day and the only color (including his dog) on Roger's rig was the pink cooler chest.

I have no idea why the horses are learning - had to be slope of burm.
