"You’ve got a lot of passwords to keep track of for your online bank account, insurance company, social media profiles and even your kid’s school software. But starting today, your Microsoft account doesn’t have to be one of them." "Microsoft says there are 579 password attacks every second, or 18 billion a year."
I haven't read the whole article, but this could be good. A couple of days ago, I had a fight with my Mac over passwords. Maybe it thought it was April Fools Day, but it took me fifteen minutes to get a password to work. I'd love to get rid of my Apple passwords.

I have LastPass, but apparently, it doesn't get along with Apple.

Roboform works on two iPhones, two iPads & two Win10 PC's. It is not perfect, but works flawlessly most of the time.

I don't recall if anything filled in the Apple password. I have two Apple passwords taped to the front of the computer. If one doesn't work, I try the other. I tried the "Forgot Password" routine, but that didn't help. Eventually, one of the taped-on words worked.
I have an Apple Mac laptop but don't use it much. Took it on vacation a year ago with the intention of putting it thru its paces--or at least checking my email. Well, it taught me otherwise. I knew the password--or thought I did. Tried it in lower case--no luck. Tried it in upper case--no luck. Must have tried it a dozen times or more. Finally after several lower case tries, it worked. Still not sure what I did wrong. Frustrating.

I used Roboform for years, but then it started malfunctioning, so I switched to LastPass. That doesn't seem to work with Apple passwords. I guess Apple figures that if the passwords are filled in automatically, what's the point of having passwords?
I wanted to install an app, and I had to enter a password. I've never been able to figure out Apple's system for passwords. It seems that I need one for my Apple ID, and I need another for each Mac. In order to install the app, it wanted a password, and it took a long time for it to accept one of the two I use.

LastPass is good, but if Apple doesn't accept it...

I use BitWarden. Used by a lot of IT groups. Syncs everything, and it’s free. Love it.

I've heard the name - didn't know what it was.

I have it on my Windows laptop, iPhone, and iPad. When I make a change/addition on one, it automatically syncs to the other devices.
I’m trying to remember that it asks for a $10 donation (which you don’t have to do) and I gladly gave it. I probably have 70+ passwords in there. No more keeping them all on paper or trying to remember if I was out and about and needed one. I highly recommend.
Been using 1Password for years. Excellent product— use it for passwords plus many other documents I need to keep secure and readily retrieval. Excellent customer service.
