Monarchs

This dead tree was covered with blooming English Ivy and was attracting Monarchs, as well as bees. The closest I could get was about 40' away. Shot with Canon 7D II and Sigma 100-400mm lens flat out at 400mm. The whole scene was backlit, but that worked in my favor whenever the butterfly opened its wings.
