I just ordered it. I hope it's as great as advertised. Looks like it's time to sell my R6 and maybe a couple of RF lenses. Cars and cameras are my passion and I can't afford the cars that I'd like so...

Don't blame you at all. I work on the principle that if I want it, and can afford it, then I purchase it. We are a long time dead. I've never understood this GAS rubbish. The R3 looks a bit tasty, so I hope it lives up to your expectations. I used to own an EOS 5 back in the early 90's. That, too, had eye AF - five read squares in the viewfinder, if I remember correctly: and it worked very well indeed. I loved that camera and used it alongside my Canon EOS 10.

Congrats and hope the R3 meets expectations. Like you cars and cameras are my passion too. I have the R5 and am not sure whether the R3 would be better for certain areas especially wildlife and motorsports. I am now saving my money for a Cayman ! so will see. Enjoy your camera when it arrives and let us know your feedback. Thanks

If you have an open mind, watch this about the pros and cons of the 24mp Canon R3 vs the 50mp Sony A1 (just a
$500 price difference), but a big difference in what you get, and why the differences matter to pros ) :

Which RF lenses do you wish to part with?
I might be interested in buying one or both

I’m hanging in with the R6, I bought from you. A also have a 1dx mkii, 5d iv, 90d, 7d mkii, rx10 mkIv. Why do you want to sell your rf lenses, they will work on the R3.

Hi Doc, how's the R6 working out for you? Well, I hope. I'm aware that the lenses will fit the R3, but I'm thinking of possibly getting the "new" 100-400 RF or the 70-200 RF f4 or possibly the 2.8. I have the 24-105, 35 1.8, 50 1.8, and an 85 f2. I can't see keeping all of these. After all I don't own a ranch :) Happy shooting. I (as well as a lot of other hoggers) would like to see some bull photos.

I've got four Steve. I'm not quite sure when and if, yet.

Learning curve on r6 is slow. Outside business issues eating up my time. I also have a new 90d that I’m getting better at. Ready to start with r6 soon. It has been too hot in Texas lately to do much photography. Will be better soon.

I have a 100-400 L II ef that works great with an adapter. Also have a 1.4 converter that helps. There is a firmware update for the r6 which allegedly helps with some initial issues?
