Initial release info looks impressive - huge discount being offered for pre-release orders. I've taken a punt!

I decided to give it a try, but might cancel after the trial like I did with the AI. AI was a disappointment, hope this is better, but LR/PS will most likely be my primary suite.
You folks always fall for Luminar promotions.
What do they say about being fooled?

Perhaps that's why the title of the post is "Slylum."

Freudian Slip or sly commentary by the OP?

I hate to be a downer but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last time I did a pre-release order with "Slyum".
That outfit doesn't make me . . .

Actually for only $39 it's a great deal if you get in on the promotion. I subscribed to Luminar about 5 months ago and have had fun running thru the tools and trying out the AI sky swap. I don't use it for my wildlife but for landscapes it's a no brainer. The new bokeh AI for portraits is OK for the moment but is suppose to be improved with the new version. I'm starting to get more clients for my portraits so I'm using the Portrait features a lot. The fact that you will be able to change backgrounds for your portraits is also a big plus in the new version. On thing Luminar will not do and like all other softwares is take a crappy shot and make it Great. If in focused and exposed properly Luminar will vastly improve the image, but not a fix all. I use On 1 raw as my main editor along with Topaz and now Luminar as well. I think the extra $39 with the new features will bring the software up to date, not to mention all of the camera profiles will be upgrade so you no longer have to have a separate raw convertor to work in DNG with Luminar to get the full benefits of raw. It's One tool and if folks are really serious about exploring their creative side I think it's worth the investment. I can't tell you how much money I have in camera equipment that I no longer use. If I can take One Good image and Tweak it into one of a dozen Great images for the year then it's worth the money spent.. PS here is a link to a Real photographer that uses the software to Enhance his images, maybe he will be of help to a few folks here..

I’m disgusted by the evolution from v2 to 3 to 4 to AI and now Neo…rather than fix the features that were broken in the current version via an update they call each one a ‘nes’ app requiring full price. I know they want to make money…but their support is terrible and with each new version they swear the old one will be supported and the bugs fixed…but it never happens. They’re just out for max gee whiz bang features that they can charge full price for. I have v4…and it is occasionally used as a LR plugin…but after the upgrade lies from 2 through 4 I stopped caring about the company.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, uh, uh, uh, uh...can't be fooled again.
Slylum is a perfect name for them.
I see some of you have purchased the Neo product for 39 dollars USD. When I checked the site, the price is 59 USD. I assume the initial price of 39 is no longer available or are there coupons you can apply?
Thanks for the info.
