In the gold country of the western Sierra, Sutter Creek was a mining town built in the 1850s, at the height of the California gold rush. Like many of these mountain mining towns, fires over the years took their toll.
I have no idea the age of these two buildings, but the door colors were very striking.

The red one must have had some fresh paint no too long ago! Interesting studies!
