This is the "official" post thanks to Jim-Pops.

The attached photo is SOOC of a shot taken in April 2018 at Bruce Canyon. It was taken with a rented camera and lens that led me to get into mirrorless cameras. I edited the heck out of this shot and I would like to see how you will treat it.

Feel free to download this image to your computer. Then you can edit it any way that you think is an improvement. Composites, black and white conversions, textures, sky swaps, inverted images, solarization, or whatever else you think will improve the photo are acceptable techniques for your edit. When you are finished, post your edit in this thread. Edits will be accepted until 9pm Eastern time on Thursday. No edits will be accepted after that time because we will begin voting then. Thank you for your efforts and your participation.

Way too dark. I did away with the sun and brightened the photo

My idea was to make the sky interesting while keeping the sun from the original in the same place. I found the sky image in Pexels.com that had the sun just going down. I used Luminar 4 to do the sky replacement using the custom sky import function. I had to do it 4 different times, first time to flip the imported sky then 3 more times to crop the image for proper sun location. Each time I had to start over, open the import sky image crop save then try in Luminar importing the new cropped image.

I saw a YouTube video last week where the narrator had a problem with people's sky replacement, replacing was ok but choosing the right sky and the right direction of the sun matching the image's sun direction and shadows. He also mentioned the sky needed to have proper saturation matching the scene. I used his suggestions in making this edit.

Nice image Mike. I'm familiar with that area and have watched the sunrise from very near that same spot. Beautiful area. Here's my view.
