FORGET THE MANDATE!

That’s right! Do not pay any attention to the Mandates, be they Federal, State, Local, or School level. Just put them out of your mind.

You are right to think that your battle with Covid-19 is personal. Just like it was personal when you were a kid and you got that smallpox vaccine (I bet most of you still have that faint scar on your shoulder where they kept sticking you with that needle). And, it was personal when they gave you that sugar cube with the polio vaccine.

Think for a moment, where would the world be today without those two vaccines. How many millions would have died, would still be dying?

Now, do the math. Count the vast number of those who have not taken the vaccine shots who are now on respirators in ICUs across the nation. To them, Covid-19 is real personal. It is real personal for the hundreds of thousands in our country who have already lost loved ones to this pandemic.

If not for yourself, make it personal to get the vaccine for your family, your friends, your community.

For reasons I cannot understand, my grandson did not take the time to get the vaccine, and now he, his fiancée and their two year old daughter have all tested positive for Covid-19. He really regrets not getting the vaccine now. For me, that is real personal!

Rational people do not need mandates to do the right thing, they step up and make it personal.

So, FORGET THE MANDATES, make it personal. ❤️

"Rational people" are on the endangered species list.

Best to your family.

It’s become personal for me also. My wife and oldest son (both fully vaccinated) just recovered from breakthrough infections. Not hospitalized, but no fun. But my 4 grandchildren, all under 12, contracted full blown Covid. All are recovering, hopefully without long term effects. My local hospital ICUs are all overflowing with unvaccinated patients, so if I have another MI, I may be SOL, so for my family, this is very personal. I don’t want to hear the “individual freedom” crap - get vaccinated and mask! PLEASE!

It was MANDATORY that we got all our shots before starting kindergarten, consequently, there were no problems with pandemics and when the polio vaccine became available, we were given them at school. No one EVER raised a big fuss about our right to refuse a vaccine. The result was that most of the things we were vaccinated for eventually became nearly extinct. I don't recall anyone having a fatal reaction to any of the vaccines we were given back in the late '40s and into the '50s.

Well said , My wife is an RN in a large hospital on long island NY. and there is a certain amount of resentment regarding the unvaccinated that come in to be treated why should these nurses put them selves at risk for people with out any common sense or care for society at large.

I love what you wrote re Corvid. Getting the vaccine is this decades IQ test. But unfortunately being stupid is not only a handicap for you, but it is actually dangerous for the people around you. As you know you can be a distributor without having symptoms.

Run the numbers. If tested positive the survival rate is over 97%., But for those under 65 the rate is 99.5% and for those under 12 the risk is less than riding in a car for 7500 miles. And for the total population the risk of fatality is less than.05%.

Hey, Paul! I grew up in Lindenhurst. Spent much of my life in Babylon Town.

I'm wondering why, if the health professionals are vaccinated, they are concerned that they are putting themselves at risk?

(And give your wife a big "Thank you!" from me. It can be a tough job.)

Even vaccinated people can catch covid but you would probably not die but you would get sick.

Because (as my family found out), the vaccine is not a guarantee against acquiring Covid, but it does make it highly unlikely that you will need hospitalization or die. So if you’re unvaccinated, you run the risk of taking a badly needed healthcare professional out of rotation for 10-14 days.
