My son brought this bottle home from college about 15 years ago, and much has evaporated in the Mississippi heat of my garage, even though it is still sealed. His roommate found it left behind in a closet, so I don't know how this delightful North Korean product was initially acquired. According to what I learned online, some oriental folks believe this liquor is good for one's sex life. (Maybe... if it doesn't kill you or make you blind.) I wouldn't hazard a guess as to what it tasted like when it was fresh, and certainly am not about to find out now.
Not me, but I do eat the worm.

When there is so much really good food and drink, why this? No No No thanks.
Why? Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

About twenty years ago I rode in a van in China with a couple of fellas who bought two illegal live cobras and stuck them into some kind of fiber bag. They did not speak English but another passenger in the van spoke it a little and said they will put each of the snakes into a large jar filled with some kind of alcohol and let it sit for a year, then take it out and drink it. It supposedly has some super curative powers that make the bother worth while---but I think this was just a polite way of saying they think it will make them horny. The whole thing was kind of secretive and very little was said about it and questions were not welcomed. The snakes appeared to be only three to four feet long.
The snakes were said to be expensive and apparently illegal so most folks do not indulge.
I will post a pic I took that apparently made the snakers mad that I took it. I was told they were afraid of the police. I was too far away and couldn't get a picture of the snakes themselves outside of the bag nor of them putting the snakes into the bag but it looked and sounded like that was real exciting.
Driving several hours in the boondocks of China with a couple of live, bagged cobras in the van was not my idea of happiness.
This was in mainland China but in Taipei, Taiwan, in a place called Snake Alley, they serve drinks like those shown in the photos the OP posted, along with some other stuff called snake blood.
