Sun Rise on the Island in the Sky Parkway

Wednesday morning I drove from our yurt in Dead Horse Point SP west along the Island in the Sky Parkway in Canyonlands NP. This road goes to the end of that portion of Canyonlands across the narrow ridge that forms the Island in the Sky to the Grand View Point.

This set shows the sun rise with smoky haze when I shot toward the sun and the sun's light when I shot on the other side of the parkway away from the sun rise.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Several years ago we exited Yellowstone, couldn't see mountain tops in the Tetons and the smoke went all the way to SLC. We've been getting drenched with surplus rain and wish we could share some!
