I don't drive a Tesla and, in fact, I've never owned an automatic car in my life. All my vehicles, muscle cars in the 60's, old VWs, MGs, old Porsches, pickups and all my motorcycles - standard transmissions.
But that's not the point- it's your unnecessary, self righteous digs in this thread for no reason other than to display your own self importance. I get it- you like pc's and find those who don't conform to you view of the world are somehow lesser individuals.
If there's anything small around here, it's your small mindedness. You display it well.

There are only two things I don't understand -
1. Why you even care because obviously you must otherwise you would have left this discussion a long time ago.
2. I don't understand what it is in an individuals mind that makes him/her select one over the other. I have a theory but you wouldn't like to hear it as it is a little insulting. And whether my theory is correct or not I would still love to know the underlying reason.

My MacBook Air is amazing:
NO FAN, and NO NOISE.
It barely gets warm.
All day battery life.
Edits 4K video like a bat outta hell.
Great keyboard and best trackpad in the business.
Great speakers for a 13” lightweight computer.
Great microphone for FaceTime, Zoom, Skype.
So-so but adequate 720P camera.
Only two ports (Thunderbolt 3/USB4, 40 Gbps), but you can use a hub or dock and connect almost anything), plus a headset jack.
Excellent build quality.
I bought a refurbished unit from Apple with maximum (8/8/16) M1 cores, 16GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD, then from Amazon got a 2TB Samsung T7 SSD, CharJen Pro Universal Dock 2, and LG UP-850 W 27” monitor. I’d been saving for quite a while, and I’m very glad I did. It’s extremely versatile and everything I expected it to be.

Why does jgm get rude to the New Zealand guy is he ignorant or takes a dislike to someone who has a different view to his.
Very sad really but there you are, does not seem to like cars with an automatic gear box either, well that is his choice I must admit I drive a car that has an automatic box, it also has a speed setting for staying in one gear longer that standard auto box, it also has the ability to change gear manually with out depressing a clutch. Why is that, it does not have a clutch pedal it is all constrained in the dsg gearbox.
I am not American but rather Canadian. We are known internationally to be extremely people,,,,but I tell you, sometimes it can be really hard depending on who you are talking to,
It is so childishly simple to fling insults over the internet, and most would NOT have to guts to do it face to face. THis is the plague we call 'Social media'.

I think a really good guy would act the same whatever the situation.
Social media is like getting drunk or that moment someone thinks no one is looking. The real persona appears.
Yikes...I meant 'polite' not 'people'.....lol
In most cases there is duplicate software for either platform. At one time Apple enjoyed a real advantage in terms of speed and onboard memory. Lately the gaps between the two had reached a point where we are talking very little in terms of speed advantage at all. While tech forums get into arguments over micro-seconds, unless you are near or about dead i don't think that matters too much. Additionally there is software to make each platform work on the other one....albeit still funky to use and also frustrating. So, go with whatever the wife wants.
