Thanks all. I have a few more, but those are the ones I've worked up so far. I was afraid I wasnt going to get one image after being there a few days but the smoke cleared for a day and I took advantage.

I recently visited the Jackson Hole area. Unfortunately, the valley was full of smoke most of the week. I ended up with a few keepers, I think but I wasn't able to get a few images I had envisioned before leaving on my trip. You couldn't see the mountains for much of the week.

Stunning, magnificent shots

What is your format? What film or is this digital I can not tell. You have that Ansel Adams taste. Good stuff! Did you print theses your self?

HI,

Thanks for asking. I used a Nikon Z7II and the Nikon 20mm S lens and the Nikon 24-200 lens. Yes, I do the processing and print them myself. I am a fan of Ansel Adams, no doubt. I print on Canson Fibre paper and HP printers. I watched a video from Joel Grimes on how to darken the sky and saw many photographers who do that style. I thought I'd try it out. I fought if there is too much contrast or not. One one or more I added a hint of the platinum gradient in Photoshop. I hope that answers your questions. I had a darkroom for years and favor black and white.

I just returned from Yosemite with the same situation. The smoke destroyed any attempt to get good mountain or overhead landscapes. Did come away with some winners and appreciated the beauty nonetheless.

Your GT shots are great - especally the Ansel Adams classic. That is a beautiful, wonderful place to photograph.

Nice going!

Thanks all. It was the 2nd time I went to the area, so I had a better idea of what to expect other than the smoke.
