I've been working on a pano series for the last couple of months, both "regular" photography and IR. A dozen have been framed (which I do alot of, considering my life as a carpenter/cabinetmaker). This one was close to the end of the run (which is alot of Bryce/Utah so spectacular scenery overall) and, since processing, I'd considered it fairly ordinary so waited until last to print. I might be changing my mind! If there's a consensus, I'd be happy to put some more of these up? Naturally, download is better...

Thanks man, I was tempted to put this one up on QD's post the other day, just to show the composition, but I'm not a fan of posting pics on peep's threads so didn't...but, I'm thinking, now, that reversing the *frame* (oak is funny with the grain and all, that frame is the same tree/board sliced up, see?) and putting that variagated grain on the bottom with the grass...ya t'ink?

With some panos I find myself wondering "Why a pano?" Not so with this one. It definitely suits the style.

Very well done photo and frame both, though Oak is rare on our house these days, as is wall space. You are welcome to post a photo on any thread of mine as long as it isn't a diversion to another subject, AKA a Hijack!

Sounds like it would be worth trying if it is not too much work.

I think this one ticks all the boxes:

Interest in the sky
leading line of the fence
foreground/middleground element (green bushes)

This image has really high visual impact for me. I liked the format and the composition. The frame is gorgeous.

Thanks Erich! That frame is simplicity itself, just ran that kerf through all my pieces before assembly and *viola*...a detail!
