Don't know if you do it, but every so often I go to Home, then All Sections to see everything that is available on UHH. Quite a wide variety. Depending on my interests at the moment, I will often visit and occasionally subscribe to a new section. Potential Treasures to be discovered. Might be worth your time.

Yes, I do the same thing and have joined new sections that I somehow missed the introduction post to. Glad to see I'm not the only one. ;)

I think you are in the majority. I am also subscribed to the sections that interest me, but occasionally browse others. I was speaking to those who might not have thought of doing it.

Great idea to browse different sections.
I don't mean to be critical however, sometimes great ideas are shunted off to narrow interest sections.
No, this is not meant as an insult, so . . .

Now that there are 30+ specialty sections, we are seeing suggestions in main discussion that people should have posted their topic to the relevant specialty section

Jimmy, I'm curious what you mean by "shunted off..."

So you're a new member in the "Smartphone Photography" section too?

Not in this lifetime! Don't have one, don't want one.

Simply put, the more people know about UHH, the more successful it will be. Members often enough indicate in posts that they don't know about a section that would be useful to them.

He means: to turn off to one side, as in the railroad engineer has shunted two freight cars off to a siding tracks.

Quixdraw, one of the pleasures of the UHH forum is that it reaches worldwide and there is most likely a member here that is an expert in whatever the field may be who are always willing to share their experiences and opinions. When I stop to think about it, it is what a 'family' is meant to be which is caring and sharing with much compassion for others in this family.

I get to see things through their lens that I would not be able to see otherwise. They take me to far off places and they show me the sun and warmth when it's cold and grey here. They share the joy of their beloved pets and the youth of their grandchildren. Their hobbies experiences on what they recommend and what I should avoid based on their using it and who gave them good service as well as who disappointed them. I'd like to think that I find myself at home here with those that help keep my spirits up.

I think you set a terrible example! I just followed your advice, unsubscribed to a couple of sections, and subscribed to several more. My wife may now kill me for all the time I will be spending at the Hog! Thanks a bunch!
