That's a beauty! Flathead. I use to see some Pan Heads & Knuckle Heads around my area, But not in a couple of years.

Beautiful restoration and excellent photos of it. It's not a nucklehead, it's a 45 ci flathead produced from 1929 until 1952 for two wheel cycles and through the mid 1970s for servicars. It isn't clear to me what year this one might be. Harley was making overhead valve motors when these were introduced; although not as fast as overhead valve engines at the time these were more reliable. Advances in metalurgy eventually permitted Harely to produce their first reliable overhead valve engines begining with the nucklehead in 1936.
